A first full set takes 1.5–2 hours, lying down with your eyes closed. Because extensions fall with the natural lash they are attached to, you will lose a few a day and need a fill every 2–3 weeks to keep the set looking full — budget for that upkeep before you commit.

Before: arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes, avoid caffeine (it can make the eyes flutter), and skip waterproof mascara for a few days. After: keep them dry for 24 hours, then clean them daily with a lash shampoo, avoid oil-based products and cotton pads, don’t pick or rub, and brush them through with a spoolie. If extensions are more upkeep than you want, a lash lift and tint ($70) gives curl and definition for 6–8 weeks with no fills.
