What Brow Lamination Is, Who It Suits, and How to Maintain It
Brow lamination is a chemical setting treatment — the same idea as a lash lift, applied to the brows. A softening solution relaxes the hair so it can be brushed upward and into place, then a setting solution locks that direction in and a nourishing serum finishes. The result is fuller-looking, brushed-up brows that hold their shape for 6–8 weeks. The appointment takes about 45 minutes and we shape and, if you like, tint the brows in the same visit.
It works best on brows with enough hair to redirect — if your brows are naturally sparse, lamination makes the most of what is there but will not create hair where there is none. It is very effective on downward-growing or unruly brows and on gaps that can be visually closed by lifting the hair over them.
After: keep the brows completely dry and untouched for 24 hours — no water, steam, sweat, or product — then brush them into shape each morning and apply a brow or castor oil a few times a week to keep the hair conditioned. Avoid lamination if you are on Accutane, have had a reaction to a lash lift, or have broken or irritated skin in the brow area; we patch test first-timers.
Brow Lamination a Block From Park Avenue
We are at 676 Lexington Avenue at East 56th Street, one block east of Park Avenue in the Plaza District. Lamination is a 45-minute appointment with no downtime beyond keeping the brows dry, so most clients book it for a lunch break or straight after work, and many time a fresh treatment before a wedding, a shoot, or a holiday.
The 51 St station (6) is closest; Lexington Av/53 St (E, M) and Lexington Av/59 St (4, 5, 6, N, R, W) are about three blocks. Grand Central is one stop away on the 6, and Lexington Avenue buses stop outside.
We are open until 7:30 pm on weekdays and Saturday, 7:00 pm Sunday, and hold slots for walk-ins between booked clients. Come back every 6–8 weeks for a fresh lamination, with a threading tidy in between to keep the shape clean.
Brow Lamination FAQ
Brow lamination is a professional eyebrow treatment that smooths and lifts brow hairs into a more uniform direction, creating fuller, fluffier, and more defined brows that can last up to 6–8 weeks.
Most clients enjoy results for 6 to 8 weeks, depending on their hair growth cycle and aftercare routine.
Absolutely. Brow lamination and tint is one of our most popular combinations because it adds both shape and color, creating a more defined and polished appearance.
Yes. When performed by trained professionals using quality products, brow lamination is a safe and effective treatment for most clients.
Arrive with clean brows free from makeup and oils. For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid water, steam, excessive sweating, and skincare products directly on the brow area.
Six to eight weeks, fading gradually as the hair grows out. A threading tidy every few weeks keeps the shape sharp between treatments.
It makes them look fuller by lifting the hair upright and spreading it evenly, which covers small gaps and gives more coverage. It does not grow new hair, so very sparse brows get a limited effect.
‘Brow lift’ is another name for the same treatment. Both mean chemically relaxing and re-setting the brow hairs so they stay brushed into shape.
Yes, and most people do. We laminate, shape, and tint in one 45-minute appointment so the brows look full and defined straight away.
Contact us or see our prices page for the current rate; adding a brow tint and threading shape on the same visit is the usual booking and keeps the whole thing to one appointment.
